Press Conference: EU Official Status for Catalan, Basque and Galician.

The European Language Equality Network (ELEN) and its member organisations that represent Catalan, Basque and Galician, will be holding a press conference on Monday 18th September at 16.00 in the press centre of the European Parliament, Brussels.
The organisations will discuss the ongoing campaign for EU official status, the benefits it will bring to their languages and to Europe, and all the other advantages of inclusion as a full EU official language.
In July the Spanish Government issued a proposal calling on the EU Council to make Catalan, Basque and Galician EU official languages. On the 19th September the proposal will be discussed by the EU Council.

Obra Cultura Balear (OCB) from the Balearic Islands
