The new ‘LISTEN’ project, successfully launched at the end of October, works to develop language assertiveness as a skill with the aim of training people to express themselves in their own language whilst feeling calm and self-assured.

The project, funded by Erasmus+, comprises the partnership of Universitat de Valencia, ELEN, Afûk, Conradh na Gaeilge, Consiglio Nazionale Delle Ricerche, IAITH: Welsh Centre for Language Planning, and the Universitatae Sapientia Din Municipiul Cluj-napoca.

So far Transnational Project Meetings have been held in Valencia and Pisa with the first training session being held in Valencia in February with ELEN member organisations Plataforma per la Llengua and Obra Cultural Balear participating.

The next meeting will be held in June in Ljouwert, Fryslan, hosted by Afûk, with another training session set to be held in Kolozsvár in October.
